I'm Brea Cooper, a Licensed Professional Counselor. My journey to becoming a therapist began with my own life challenges. Through these experiences, I found strength in God and a calling to help others.

In 2018, I stumbled into teaching and discovered my accidental passion for working with adolescents. With the skills I fostered in teaching and my life experiences, I help people of all ages. I work with individuals aged 3 and up, including children, teens, and adults. I love helping people overcome barriers like intrusive thoughts, pain, trauma, rejection, and low self-esteem. In my practice, I use creative methods such as sand tray therapy and play therapy, and I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), alongside direct yet compassionate probing questions.

People appreciate my authenticity, humor, and non-judgmental approach, which helps them feel safe and seen. Welcome to Authentically Me Therapy. I look forward to meeting you!

Hello

I’m Brea Cooper, a Licensed Professional Counselor and the heart behind Authentically Me Therapy. I work with adults 18+ who are navigating life transitions, struggling with codependency, or feeling weighed down by anxiety, low self-worth, or burnout. Many of my clients have spent years putting others first—and are now asking, What about me?

My own healing journey and faith inspired me to become a therapist. I believe that growth happens when insight leads to action, so our work together blends emotional exploration with tools you can actually use. Whether you're setting boundaries, breaking old patterns, or learning to calm your nervous system, I want you to feel seen—and leave with something helpful every time.

I’m trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which uses imagery and eye movements to help process painful memories and shift emotional patterns. I also incorporate somatic work, sand tray therapy, narrative techniques, and values-based practices to help you get curious about who you are and how you want to live.

My style is compassionate, honest, and sometimes gently challenging. I’m not a blank slate—I’m fully present with you. Clients often say they feel safe, supported, and deeply understood. We’ll move at your pace, but we won’t stay stuck.

If you're ready to rediscover your voice, your confidence, and your peace, I’d be honored to walk with you.
